HIPAA-compliant support
Don't get stuck problem-solving specific patient scenarios. Get in touch with us to work through options for modification or adaptation.
Direct 1:1 Support
Our team is available for quick questions or in-depth consultations to help you problem-solve solutions before sharing recommendations with patients. Using a framework based on the PEO model, we can work through options for modification or adaptation with you.
The easiest way to get in touch is through the phone number we sent in the welcome email. This number is not publicly available anywhere, and we ask that you keep it private. Feel free to call, text, or email us. If you'd like to set up a video call, we can also do that.
Support Hours
We're in Virginia (Eastern time) and typically available between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. As this program grows, we'll expand our team to cover all US time zones. Please leave a voicemail if you don't get through; we'll call you back as soon as possible! (sometimes after hours)
HIPAA Compliance
Our phone/video communication platform and email systems are HIPAA-compliant, and we have a signed business associate agreement (BAA) with your facility. It's okay to discuss specific patient scenarios with us. We make notes for reference as needed, and all PHI is stored securely.
No 1:1 Support for Patients
Direct 1:1 support is intended to be between you and our team.
We do not provide direct support for patients. However, when your patients sign up for a learning account on go.universaldesign.org, they can join our community, where they are free to ask questions in a group discussion format.
Private OT-Only Group Discussion
In addition to the Direct 1:1 Support, we offer private discussion areas in our community on the course site. Think of it like private Facebook groups without Facebook's control. Three topic areas are restricted to OTs, while the other topics are accessible to anyone who has taken our courses.
The OT: Access Points topic area is where we post a monthly newsletter with helpful information about home accessibility insights.
The OT: General Discussion topic area is a place to discuss anything OT related.
The OT: Support topic area is the best place to get help with patient/client situations.
